Bare Foot Running

Did something crazy today. Did my first bare foot running during lunch time. WHY?! Well, simply because I forget to bring my running shoes!

Anyway, running bare foot is not to be taken lightly. As I have a weak right knee, during the run, I can feel the impact of each step all the way to the knee. Maybe my regular running style is not suitable for bare foot running. Having said that, I would not consider bare foot running as a frequent activity without mastering the different techniques or styles of running. Mine is heel strike. As observed during this run, I tried changing to forefoot and I exert more on the calf muscles. Now feeling the aches plus blisters! Ouch!

Another take away for me is that how truly blessed we are for having shoes! Imagine the less fortunate ones that had no covered footwear and yet they feel at ease walking/ running in their daily routines. So do not waste what you have, cherish it!

Lastly, I truly salute the runners that can do bare foot running. I had personally seen a few runners in races that ran barefoot for long distances and in terrific form. You are mentally and physically one notch above any of the season runners.

Was trying to find my old homepage created many years ago when I first use the Internet. I was using Netscape 1.0 then... Anyway, that subsequently lead me to my Blog that had not been updated since 2011! Now is 2013 and just past 人日. Happy CNY!

Why are you like that?

Something annoying happen when taking the bus from the interchange to home. A pregnant woman board the crowded bus (after a few stops) and happen to stand infront of a guy that was seated. He seems engrossed with his iPad playing mahjong and was 'unaware' of the pregnant woman standing infront. The lady move further down the aisle (3 seats away from the guy) when other people alight. This time, an Indian lady who was listening to ipod saw her and quickly give up her seat to the pregnant woman. Right at the moment when the pregnant lady took the seat, the guy raise his head and take a glance before returning to his game. What does that hint to you?

(A) He happen to stretch his neck and coincidentally turn and look towards that pregnant lady 3 seats away from him?

(B) He is unaware of the surrounding as he was too engrossed with his mahjong

(C) He needs that seat so that he can hold his iPad and further more he is not occupying the priority seat unlike the Indian lady.

Personally, I hope he trip and fall when he alight from his bus and broke his stupid iPad.

The store is located at Bugis FC. Clear fish soup. Nothing so special but what interest me is the sauce. They use Dou Jiang and chilli putty for you to dip the fish meat.

All these at 50 cents each! Yummy! Located at Bugis FC. It opens at around 8.15am. The portion is just nice so you can order 3 or 4 variety for one person.

Was having training at Bugis this week. Saw this store at the food centre and was tempted. I tried the curry chicken yong tau fu. Basically, it had curry chicken, potato, tau po, fish cake and small portion of noodle. The gravy is quite thick and fragrant. They also have Curry KOKA noodle! Nothing fancy but can give it a try.

Spot this new store located at the food centre in Jurong. Noodles does not turn soggy even if you pack home. It comes with 2 fried wanton and another two normal ones together with Char Siew. To me, the noodles and the chilli are so so. There is some distinct taste of the wanton. Tell me the taste after you try it.

Walk into a decor shop at Great World City. Fancy decor. Reminds me of the chair Morpheus sat (Matrix I) and talking to Neo about the red pill and blue pill. Ha!
